Overview
The twin of New York’s action against Coinbase, and the pair should be read together. The Attorney General filed both in New York County Supreme Court on consecutive index numbers — 451603/2026 for Gemini, 451604/2026 for Coinbase — and both defendants removed to the Southern District within a day of each other in April 2026. Gemini Titan, LLC is the derivatives entity of Gemini Space Station; its corporate disclosure names Gemini Space Station, LLC and Gemini Space Station, Inc. as parents.
Nothing has been decided on the merits, because the fight is still about the forum. New York moved to remand on May 1, 2026; briefing closed June 8, and the state filed the Michigan remand ruling in Nessel v. KalshiEX as supplemental authority a fortnight later. The motion is undecided.
The case has moved judges three times — Cote, then Marrero once it was accepted as related to the Coinbase action, then Judge Lorna G. Schofield in August 2026, who now holds the whole New York cluster. She took an initial pretrial conference across all four cases on August 31, 2026.
