Overview
Novig’s New Mexico suit, filed August 2026 against the Attorney General and the Gaming Control Board, pleaded under the Commodity Exchange Act. On September 2, 2026 Judge Margaret I. Strickland granted the parties’ joint motion and stayed the case until August 13, 2027. The terms are an enforcement standstill: the Attorney General will bring no civil or criminal action over Novig’s sports event contracts until at least fourteen days after the stay ends, and the five Gaming Control Board members were dismissed without prejudice and will take no independent enforcement action meanwhile. It follows the same path as the Massachusetts case and Polymarket US’s own New Mexico suit.
