Overview

Crypto.com’s Washington suit, filed July 2026 against the Attorney General and the State Gambling Commission. Rather than fight it, the parties negotiated: a stipulated order concerning enforcement actions entered August 2026, and the case was stayed on August 31, 2026 pending the Ninth Circuit’s resolution of the related appeals. Since the Ninth Circuit affirmed against Crypto.com in its Nevada appeal three days earlier, what "related appeals" resolves to is not settled on the face of the docket. The case sits with Judge John C. Coughenour, who also has Robinhood Derivatives’ parallel Washington suit and handled the removal in Washington’s enforcement action against Kalshi.
