Settlement (resolution)
Settlement, or resolution, is the process of closing out a market once the underlying event has been decided. The winning outcome settles at $1 (100¢) and the losing outcomes at $0. After a market settles it is considered finalized and no longer trades. On TickerTracker, finalized events are labeled as settled, while live events are still open for trading.
