Overview

Wisconsin’s Attorney General (Joshua Kaul) sued Kalshi (~April 2026) over unlicensed sports event contracts — one of a set of parallel state suits against operators (Polymarket US/QCX and Crypto.com/Foris Dax were sued alongside) — which prompted the CFTC to sue the state in response. This state-enforcement track runs parallel to the Ho-Chunk Nation’s separate IGRA suit. Pending. (Caption + docket confirmed via CourtListener: State of Wisconsin v. Kalshi, Inc., removed to W.D. Wis. No. 3:26-cv-00378, before Judge Conley.)
